The commercial I choose was the E-Trade commercial that
features a baby. This commercial shows a clear example of all three terms
Bitzer used in his “Rhetorical Situation”. Exigence is an issue that is the
purpose for the speaker or writer to present about, and in this particular
commercial this would revolve around stock. The baby is talking about how easy
it is to buy stock, so easy that the baby himself can purchase this stock. That
is the main prompt of the commercial. The audience is a pretty specific. The
intended listeners of the commercial are any person that wants to buy stock.
Even though it’s specifically to that it’s pretty broad when inside that
specific topic because it’s not relating to any sort of stock. The third term
used by Bitzer was constraints. Constraints are the beliefs, attitude or traditions
that the audience possesses. Personally, I feel like there are many constraints
to this topic. Stock is something that people are really skeptical about, as
much as it can help it can also hurt. It’s a very risking investment. It’s all
who you talk to about because
People are all across the board with the idea of purchasing
and selling stocks. This commercial does
a very good job of persuading people that obtaining stock is an easy investment
that anyone should do. There are many versions of this commercial and in every
single one of them babies is the speaker to the audience. The babies are so
adorable that anyone will remember this commercial, and with babies being able
to buy stock its makes it easy for anyone. I always look forward to a good
E-Trade commercial, and I feel it does a great job of getting the point across.

Well before I posted by blog, I went through and saw you had the same video as I was going to do. Hilarious video and you're right about the constraints. There are many examples in this short commercial but it is a risky investment to make!
