Navy Seal feels abandoned by government

I just found out that the Navy Seal who killed Usama Bin Laden is out of a job and does not have any health insurance.  He says since he left the Navy three years prior to retirement  pay to see his kids graduate and get married, the government has cut all of his insurance for him and his family.  The soldier who finally killed the man behind the massacre of thousands of innocent American citizens does not get any aid from the government.  This is simply plain unjust and wrong.  I think he deserves to be rewarded for protecting us all these years, considering he has been on hundreds of combat missions. Also he did not even get a penny of the twenty five million dollars of bounty money on Bin Laden's head.  The government should at least let him keep his insurance until he finds another job. They need to care more about our veterans who put their lives on the line for our safety, then their political pensions, especially for the man who killed Usama Bin Laden.

  1. I completely agree with your opinion about the government taking better care of veterans. Anybody who makes the sacrifices to serve in our armed forces deserves the best possible treatment after they leave, especially those who are part of such important missions like the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound.

  2. I completely agree with your view 100% but a possible counterpoint could be that he knew when he first joined the SEALS about the 20 year minimum requirement to get full benefits of retirement and health insurance.
